The Kerr residence is set into the foothills of the Cascade Mountain range, affording a 180-degree view of the Skagit Valley and views of the San Juan Islands.

The Kerrs are avid sailors and enjoy the simple pleasures of living aboard a boat. This residence is designed to meet these nautical principles.

The overall length and width of their residence is based on a yacht they lived on for two years. Wherever possible, everything is built into the structure, such as beds, dining table and chairs.

This structure was built with provisions for wheel chair access throughout.
