Over the past decade the architects at Designs Northwest Architects have designed seven new churches and additions, allowing us to explore the meaning of sacred space and how it relates to contemporary worship practices.
In 2000, Designs Northwest Architects designed a new addition to a classic northwest contemporary church designed by Haley and Aldrich in 1973.
The addition included a new narthex designed to accommodate the social gathering after worship, new administrative offices, work area and classrooms. The sanctuary was also updated with new finishes, lighting and sound system.
